and my other friends with children under 5. My dear internet friend Sara (whom I have known since BEFORE she even married and yet have never actually met–that’s like 10 years) wrote this wedding announcement from the diaper trenches.
And for all of you–I can honestly say that this too shall pass. I despaired of mine ever getting out of diapers, giving up the pacifier, and all the other accouterments of babyhood . A wise friend of mine pointed out that my children would NOT be going to college still in diapers and she was right.

and then there’s a friend i had once … and when she got to her fourth child she said, “i don’t care if he gets married wearing diapers! i’m not stressing over potty-training.”

Not only is she refusing to DO anything, she now refuses to sit on the potty at all. agh! She likes her plain white pull-ups, but not when they are wet… she pulls them up with a hike that resembles a man who has not been taught proper etique in adjusting himself. it’s funny and horrible at the same time! AND she will totally deny the fact there is A LOT in the pull-up! oh well. next year i might be wishing for those occasional hugs i get when redressing her for the 3rd time in one day!
